Seriously…. why on earth do those last 10 pounds stick to you like glue?  Literally they are stuck in the worst places ever! For some of you it might be your thighs, your butt, your abs but for me its my love handles.  For the love of God I literally have to starve myself to get them to go away.  Well not really, I don’t by any means starve myself and if you lived in my house you would know that for certain I am way much of an eater to give it up!  The bottom line is this, eating healthy is hard, sticking to a fitness program from beginning to end is HARD but what is the hardest is when you get to a weight where you are starting to feel comfortable and the last 10 lbs just stick to you like glue.  No matter what you do they just won’t go away.

Never Miss A Monday

So you have two choices!  You can either accept the last 10 pounds and deal with them.  Which in my opinion would be the easy way out.  Or you can choose to face them straight in the face and send them packing!  So that is what I am doing!  I may of failed a few times and I might of had a few slip ups like a few chocolate chip cookies and some pizza over the weekend.  But yesterday I sat down and rocked out my meal plan and some Max30 cardio because there is nothing like Shaun T kicking my butt to get me motivated.

So those last 10 pounds are partly my fault and the love handles are too!  I do really good for a few days and then I have a few drinks and some bad food choices and I’m back to where I started again.

So how do you discontinue that cycle??  You get focused on what you want.

#1  I sent on Pinterest last night and saved to my phone a few motivational pictures that keep me inspired.  I made one of them my screensaver on my phone.

#2 You create a meal plan, you actually take the time to print out the meal plan, tape it to the fridge and go to the grocery store and get the foods so that you actually can eat according to the plan vs just half assing it!  You don’t get results unless you take action.  You can plan all you want but you gotta do it for it to work!  That applies in all areas of life huh!!

#3 You are optimistic.   Lets face it, there are going to be hurdles like the pizza and cookies again.  There won’t EVER be a perfect time to get in shape, to start eating healthy.  The only time is right now!  If you choose to start now and you choose to embrace the challenges with a smile on your face then you will have success.  So no matter what just know that this is a part of the process.  Smile and know that change will happen if you stick with it long enough.  There are no quick fixes in life.

#4  Do the work.  It’s time!  You set the alarm for 5:00 am and it goes off.  You have a choice!  You can turn off the alarm and go back to sleep, you can hit snooze or you can tell yourself that you are up and that this is worth it! What might seem like a struggle now will surely pay off!  You peel yourself out of bed, put on those workout shoes and no matter what you do NOT make excuses.
-The kids didn’t sleep
-I have a stuffy nose.
-I have to work a long day today.
-I went to bed too late last night.
-I can’t find my shoes.

Seriously I have heard it all!  But those that want results will find a ways because they have the WILL to change. So do you have the will and want to change?

#5 You may of lost 20 lbs and you have 10 more to go and the effort has just been so great that you don’t think you have anything left to give!  Oh yes you do!! Don’t stop half way through!  You wouldn’t tell your kids to quit before they reach the goal, so don’t you give that excuse to yourself either!!!  DEAL!

So here I am giving myself my own dose of reality because even the coach every once in awhile needs a good kick in the pants.

I know that I can do this, I can stick to the plan and I can be successful!  So here is to the holiday week, being dedicated to my nutrition and rocking out the last 10 lbs and oh the most important part…. saying good bye to the love handles.

80% is nutrition and that is always everyone’s struggle.  So will you hold me accountable?  I will do the same for you?!?!

bottom up- drink your water
Water Bottle by Blogilates

The other thing that I always preach to my customers but I have slacked on is WATER.  I mean I am usually the one that always downs my water.  But lately I have found myself forgetting to hydrate and just totally slipping my mind. Well not anymore.  I filled up my water bottle today and it’s game on!
You should always aim to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day.

-It boosts your metabolism.
-It helps you stay fuller longer.
-It’s a natural detox.
-It improves mental clarity
-Keeps your skin looking great and more.
