The Dream Team Emerald Retreat was a huge success and while I am tired from the busy weekend I can tell you that hands down I feel so inspired today! As A Coach I wear two hats. One side of my business is purely focused on helping my customers (YOU) to reach your health and fitness goals. I do that by matching you up with a fitness program that meets your needs and then I run the accountability and support groups where I get to mentor you in a smaller group setting to navigate meal planning, I give you tips that have worked for me to stay motivated, handle the temptations life throws at you, eating out at restaurants and more! My goal is prevent the investment you made in the challenge pack from sitting on the shelf collecting dust. My goal is to help you start and finish the program so that you actually get the results that you want. When I first joined Team Beachbody I was purely a customer in their support groups. Then, my Coach kept sharing the coaching opportunity with me and it sounded like a really cool idea and since I already loved participating in the groups I started to brainstorm ways that I could be a good coach. I came up with ideas to run my own groups and support women just like me who were struggling to say no to temptations and make excuses for not working out and eating healthy. I signed up as a Coach with no prior knowledge about the business model or how to build a business but I sure did have a desire to help other women like me be successful with their weight loss journey.
In July of 2011 I started Coaching and immediately fell in love with the flexibility, freedom and possibilities that the business created for me and my family. I took it one step at a time because it was a lot to learn and absorb with two small kids at home and a husband that worked full time. I ran a new challenge group each month to help people who were interested in what I was doing and were watching my success with the programs. I mentored my customers virtually on how to meal plan and set realistic and achievable goals. Then, as coach I started to realize that I could have a bigger impact if I invited others to join my team of coaches and I could teach them how to run effective challenge groups and support their customers too! I began to share what Coaching was all about, how it was working for me and I started to invite my current customers, friends and people I thought had a positive go getter vibe to join my team. I didn’t set HUGE goals for my business and I certainly did not imagine that I would achieve the success that I have. I literally took my business one day at a time and focused on growing my team so that they felt supported, empowered and were also having success. I wanted to create a system where they could easily duplicate what I had created and they didn’t feel like they had to re-invent the wheel. It was slowly but surely working and then all of a sudden, the posts, the videos and all of the things I was putting out there began to compound and our organization which is called the Dream Team took off. It’s been an incredible 5 almost 6 year journey to really living a fulfilled and purpose filled life.
If you follow me on social media then you may of noticed that this past weekend I was away with my team doing an Emerald Retreat. I took 20 of my coaches who qualified for this trip to a place called Deep Creek in Maryland. Deep Creek is a beautiful lake community where they have gorgeous rental properties on the lake that make the perfect place for a quiet weekend retreat. The house slept 20 and packed our house to the brim! I originally came up with this idea to do an Emerald Retreat because I wanted to pour into my new coaches, the ones that were just getting their business off the ground because I know that is the most sensitive time in your business. So I set qualifications for coaches to attend. I wanted them to essentially earn their spot to go on the trip.
What did they have to do?
- They had to achieve Success Club 5 in January, February and March which means that each month they had to help at least 3 people get started on their fitness journey.
- They each had to be a minimum of an Emerald Coach which means that they had personally sponsored 2 people on their team.
- They had to pay a $30 non refundable deposit for their spot
- They had to pay for their travel but I covered the rest.
They all worked hard to earn their spot on that trip and I am so proud of them all.
I kicked off the event on Friday night at the house. I made each Coach a little gift bag with a Dream Team Motivational Tank Top, A Sparkly Coffee Mug and a champagne toast to start off the weekend right.
I don’t think that my team realized just how special they really are! Out of the 500+ coaches that I have personally sponsored they are the top 1% of my Dream Team organization between the rank of Emerald and Diamond. That is truly an honor for them to be the top of the team!
On Friday when they arrived you could tell they were all a little nervous. I mean seriously they were walking into a house with 20 other women that they had never met before. So, that is nerve wracking in and of itself. I had even asked them all how many thought about canceling at the last minute. There were a lot that raised their hands. I totally understand their nervousness. I was the same way the first time I attended an event. You just don’t know what to expect. We had dinner and played a few ice breaker games to get ourselves feeling a little more comfortable as a team together. By the end of the night everyone was laughing and having a good time.
Saturday morning we woke up and cleared out the furniture out of the living room and did a Core De Force Workout by using Beachbody On Demand to stream the workout on my laptop. In 25 minutes we were all dying but it was a blast because usually I workout in my basement alone and it is nice to switch it up and workout with others.
After our workout we showered, ate breakfast and started with our training. My goal of the weekend was to empower them to set realistic goals, to feel confident in breaking down their goals and then taking the right action steps to make their goals a reality.
We covered a variety of topics on:
- Identifying your Niche and then we broke out into small groups and shared out niche and gave each other constructive criticism on their newsfeeds.
- Creating our April marketing plan for our business along with the timing for challenge groups and accountability groups
- Time Management in relation to being super busy and finding the pockets of time to fit your business into your life.
- How to create a recruiting game plan.
- How to take a challenge group idea from an idea to launch successfully. The importance of creating momentum and draw.
- How to create Facebook Ads
- What Is Elite & Premiere
- Coach Placement, Volume, Commissions and Strategy
- Goal setting that is based on 12 week periods, creating a game plan that is focused on taking action.
They legit picked my brain non stop until midnight on Saturday and I loved it! We had Fajita night with homemade Margaritas. Some coaches hit up the sauna, hot tub and pool and others chilled by the fire in the house. It was just a great environment and we had a blast.
Sunday morning we finished up our training, said our goodbyes and headed home to our families. It was absolutely hands down a GREAT event and I truly loved getting to know each and every one of the ladies that were there. They all left feeling empowered to crush their goals and are all planning on becoming Diamond by either July or December and really rocking their business plan.
The best part about the weekend was just listening to their story, hearing where they came from and how Beachbody has positively impacted their life. We even did a little live video on my Facebook Newsfeed about who each of us is and our total pounds lost from Beachbody fitness programs. Holy Moly we have a combined total of 742 pounds lost!!!! That was quite amazing.
Now that we are back home it’s time to get back to work and put our goals and dreams into action! I truly believe that each one of these women are going to be the next rock stars of the Dream Team and I can’t wait to see it all come to fruition! I’m committed to helping them rock their business and I know that they are too!
