I needed a little sweat treat tonight so I decided to whip it up. There are just some days that no matter how healthy I eat that the cravings still strike. I don’t want to completely deprive myself but I also don’t want to feed the sugar demons because it is a slippery slope.
This is hands down one of the easiest and yummiest treats that keeps me on track with my nutrition and fitness goals. I am definitely someone who loves chocolate, but I also love the definition in my body from eating healthy and clean. I also love that I can have something that is rich and creamy but also is healthy at the same time! Honestly, why wouldn’t you want the best of both worlds.

NOTE: I did add extra almond milk because at first it wouldn’t blend in my blender. I used a whole banana that I had frozen and you could easily top with berries or coconut or mix in some almond butter.
OMG talk about totally to die for!!!! When we just need a chocolate peanut butter fix this is the way to go!!! It’s not exactly the best nutritional value but it beats eating trans fat and empty calories. At least you get some healthy benefits of Shakeology and peanut butter to curb your cravings!!! Enjoy!!!!
I have a very hard time finding protein bars that are not loaded with artificial flavors and ingredients not to mention the large amounts of sugars and sugar substitutes. I am trying out a new recipe today that includes my all time favorite meal, Shakeology! So not only can I have a sweet snack but it has over 70 super foods in it as well. Nutrient dense and delicious, you have to try this!!!
So I am going to just shoot it straight! I have a killer sweet tooth and I love anything chocolate! I have a hard time passing it up! I was in dire need of something last night so I whipped up this bad boy! It satisfied the need for something sweet and I didn’t kill my healthy eating!
I am very aware that when you heat up Shakeology it does take away some of the nutritional value, but I already had my shake for the day so its ok! I’m totally cool with it!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I think I just died and went to heaven! I have the biggest sweet tooth ever! I think I finally found my fix! I am doing my best to cut out sugar because it is so stinkin addictive and the more I eat the more I crave it!
I am also following the 21 Day Fix Extreme workout plan and for 21 days there are no cheats or treats. But the cool part is that I have found healthy foods I can make feel like a treat! This is one of them!
Shakeology chocolate! I will be honest, you can add this to the list of the things I am skeptical of! As I was mixing it up in the kitchen both my in laws and husband was rolling his eyes at me.
1 spoon of coconut oil is a good fat and 1 shakeology serving is 1 red. So I counted it as a red and as a spoon. If you want to double or triple feel free! you can also add in some peanut butter, PB2 or other nuts to give it some variety! ohhh as I am typing this I am thinking about adding in some slivered almonds!!!!! EEK!! This is so exciting.
Sometimes you just want a cookie! But, personally I know that since I started clean eating it just doesn’t agree with me anymore!
So here is my CONFESSION! Yesterday was my son’s 5th Birthday Party! I seriously went into the day doing my workout, drinking my Shakeology, eating super clean and mentally I was prepared not to eat the cake! I am leaving in 5 days for a cruise with my husband that I earned from Beachbody. I have been working so hard on my results that I didn’t want to mess it up! But, the cake looked amazing and I really really wanted to taste it! So I gave in, ate the cake and ice cream and paid dearly for it the next day! I realized that no longer do I feel deprived when I bypass cake and ice cream. I feel empowered!!! Truthfully I thought that the cake was going to make me feel better, that I would be satisfied. But, today I was irritable, short tempered and scatter brained. I truly think it had to do with the fact that my body doesn’t get sugar like that very often.
I was kicking myself for eating that cake! I mean so badly that I came home and get this…. ate a donut and some animal crackers to! Holy cow talk about piling it on! SUGAR IS ADDICTIVE, the more you eat the more you crave it! So today, I got up, did my double workout, drank my warm lemon water, packed my snacks and lunch and am back on track! This is week 3 of Round 2 of the 21 day fix! Double workouts and the 3 day quick fix this week! I am going to own it! You just watch and see, this is all mine!
I am not letting one little slip up define my worth, determine my progress or send me in a downward spiral of defeat! Today was hard, the sugar monsters were here all day. But, water was my best friend, Shakeology twice, and green tea! I would say its a successful recovery! In the future, its recipes like the one below that will be my saving grace! I love my clean cookies and cakes and that is what I am sticking with!
Found this recipe and spent some time making it with my kids! I have to say it was not only easy to make but it was EASY for my kids to make! My kids took a part in measuring and pouring and finally blending! The took part in the eating and it is kid tested and MOMMY approved not only as a clean snack but as a healthy alternative to the store bought popsicles that contain goodness knows what!
PS – I substituted Skim milk with Almond/Coconut milk and it was awesome!!!!
