I stumbled upon this totally yummy snack recipe when I was looking for ways to spruce up my snack schedule. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Can’t wait to make it again today!
As you may (or may not) know, I’m a HUGE fan of snacks! I have at least 2 of them a day, as I’m one that eats anywhere from 4 to 5 small meals a day.
Since I tend to be on the go, the easier the better….right?! I don’t think I’m alone on this one! Hence, why I love relying on the library of nutritional guides I have from my favorite Beachbody workout programs – P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire and Brazil Butt Lift.
This new one I tried is from TurboFire, so can’t quite take credit for it’s creation…just for how it turned out!
Found this recipe in a magazine that I absolutely love to read! The Oxygen magazine is a great fitness/clean eating magazine that I can’t wait to get each week! I always could use a little chocolate and this sounded amazing!
So here is my suggestion: make sure that you use this as a pre-workout snack! It’s high in carbs and fat but when doing an intense workout you will burn right through it and it will give you fuel to push through!
I wouldn’t recommend eating this in the evening as a snack.
I always enjoy Jamie Eason’s Protein Bar recipes! So this week I decided to give this one a try because I love cinnamon and I really needed to switch things up a bit! So this is now my afternoon or morning snack with my cup of tea! Guilt free and complete because it has my complex carb and my protein in one meal! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!!
Sweet Treats! Who doesn’t love a sweet treat every once in awhile! But seriously we don’t want to sabotage our hard work either. So this morning a fellow coach posted this amazing recipe for Shakeology yogurt!
I made it for my kids and they loved it! Seriously if you need something creamy and sweet like ice cream reach for this dessert and save yourself the calories!!! Plus it will keep you full because Greek yogurt is high in protein and the Shakeology gives you nutrition plus berries have lots of antioxidants and it’s an all around good snack!
I know it may seem like I have it all together on the outside but some days I am screaming for something sweet on the inside! I have the WORST sweet tooth in the world!!!! So anything I can find to curb that I will take advantage of!
In Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean Recharged Book she has a recipe for Power Balls. I have all the ingredients sitting on my counter but I just haven’t mixed them together yet! So the final product will be coming soon! But they look amazing and sound amazing.

I was finishing up the dishes after a long day of cleaning, painting and organizing the house when I saw this post from a fellow challenger! She made clean eating Carmel popcorn! It was like a dream come true!
I was trying to talk myself out of getting ice cream but I needed something to curb my sweet tooth! The Steeler’s game was on and I just needed a good crunch! I have the worst sweet tooth ever and so I find that I need ways to keep it in check! My husband definately turned up his nose with this one but it was really good! I mean REALLY REALLY GOOD! So good that I had to throw half of it away so I wouldn’t over indulge!!!
I got this recipe from the Gracious Pantry website. This woman has the most amazing recipes and this was a great snack!!
But as always you still have to remember that just because it’s clean doesn’t mean you can eat the whole batch. It still has honey and almond butter which are good fats and sugar but they are still fat and sugar! So mind your portion sizes and make sure it is a cheat snack which means it should not occur every evening as a late night snack!!! 🙂
Last week as I was talking to some of my challengers we discussed these egg white muffins! Seriously, what a genious idea! Why didn’t I think of it sooner! I’m always in search of quick easy snacks and meal ideas! The fact that you can make these ahead of time, pop them in the fridge and grab and go for the rest of the week just makes perfect sense! The other bonus is that if you have kids you can easily give these to them on the way to the bus stop or in the car!! It’s a no brainer way to sneak in proper nutrition without anyone having to know!!!
The awesome thing is that you can throw in virtually any veggie or spice you want to get the taste you desire!!
This is a versatile meal that can be eaten on the go or at home, for breakfast, a snack, lunch, dinner, or before bed!
