Week 3 update on Les Mills Pump!!!  I am nothing less than PUMPED!!!  So I am not going to lie, I went into this program not thinking it was going to be challenging enough.  Seriously, 3 walk days a week just wasn’t my cup of tea!  I don’t walk, EVER!  I am either running or sprinting in every thing I do in life.  Instead of letting that deter me from the program I just improvised and added in my own cardio on the walking days!  And BAM I had a high intensity BRING IT ON attitude after the first workout.  So here I am at the start of week 3 and I swear my booty is totally lifted and toned!  It might be in my head but I know I see a cute little bump forming.  Let me just tell you, I have been called “Crack in the back” and “Flat butt” since I can ever remember!  I just don’t have any junk in my trunk.  So whatever I can do to give it some shape I will take it!  I swear you do a bazillion squats and lunges in pump.  But then you add the weighted barbell and it’s like burn city!  Plus the chest track just about kills me!  My arms are burning and on fire for at least 20  minutes after the workout has finished.  I love it!  My arms feel like the are getting even more toned and sculpted and I am only 3 weeks in!  I’m totally a believer in pump!  The best part is that I don’t have to go to a gym, pay child care and fees to take a class.  I can workout in my basement, in my underwear if I want to at any time of the day!  It just works for me!!!  It’s totally my cup of TEA!

So this week I am focusing on upping my cardio.  I’m adding in Fire 55 class for the extra 10 minutes of intense cardio and also a double workout on Tuesday’s.  I teach the Core Cardio Class here locally so I’ll get a double dose of cardio today!  I am working on building STRONG, LEAN Muscles and maintaining my strength through the holidays!  I am not going to lie but fall is really hard for me!  I am totally in love with everything pumpkin.  The sound of pumpkin pie, pumpkin latte’s, pumpkin blizzards, ect… drive me right over the edge.  I cave like a little school girl.  So to keep myself on track I of course allow myself to indulge once a week, but I have found other replacements like the pumpkin protein shake, the pumpkin shakeology recipe, and the pumpkin protein bars!  Still in moderation but at least I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself of comfort foods!

I am still aiming for close to 2000 calories a day.  I am focusing on controlling my carbs to 2-3 servings per day!  Adding in extra veggies and protein and water water water!!!  So far so good!

As the weather turns colder, it starts to get darker earlier in the evening and you wake up and its still dark outside think of the quote below!  Don’t let yourself get lazy, don’t go searching for excuses to get out of your workouts!  Remember that your life is yours alone and if you don’t take control of it, no one else will!!!!

Have a wonderful week!  More updates to come!
STAY TUNED!!!!!!!!!
