Day 1 Pump and Shred! |
So I really thought that taking 21 days off from working out was going to be a huge struggle. But in reality it has been the best thing I could ever do for my body! I feel fantastic and I find that I have a renewed sense of strength and endurance.
I started on Monday with a brand new schedule. I have chosen to do Les Mills Body Combat and Les Mills Body Pump hybrid schedule. I chose to do this workout because I love Pump but I do not want to do walking on my off days. I want the intense cardio to fire up my body and keep me energized. I love Insanity and Turbofire but as always it’s important to switch up your workout routine from time to time so that your body is always in a state of muscle confusion. This is what keeps your metabolism burning and the calories being burned. For me it’s not necessarily about weight loss as much as it is about being able to eat more good foods so I can build lean muscle.
To me it’s not about being skinny it’s about being fit and eating healthy!!!
So I like to share with you where I am each week in my own health and fitness. So I included my post reset meal plan along with the schedule for the entire hybrid that I am doing! For the next 60 days this is my schedule! I promise to keep you up to date with my progress and share lots of recipes and tips along the way!
This week I am re-introducing fish into my diet along with dairy. So far so good! Food has been great, but I can tell now that I am exercising that my metabolism is fired. So I have to make sure that I am aiming to drink 1/2 my body weight in water each day plus 5-6 small meals a day! Otherwise I get ravenous and reach for things that I shouldn’t!!!

Thnx for the post! I was wondering if doing body pump a day after body combat was ok. Hit a peak and, need to step it up!
@marcus Coffey yes I would alternate between the two. I don't do them both on the same day. Are you going to follow this schedule?
aLot of times it's tweaking your diet too! If you are stuck you can look at the quality of your food as well. Let me know if you need help with that.
Im going to start tomorrow. Saturday/sunday then tuesday/wednesday. I lost 18 lbs since feb doing boot camp twice a week. I cant seem to get under 230 lbs. I eat good. No soda or fast food. Fruits and veggies with one day a week to enjoy what I want. I also have a couple beers that day. (usually a saturday) I thought about removing that day but it does help, mentally with regards to discipline during the week. Id like to get to 200 lbs by the time our first born arrives in mid september God willing. Thoughts? Thanks for replying!
I am about to start the pump/combat hybrid. I have only done power 90 and power 90 master before so this will be something entirely new. I am going to try to use your hybrid calendar though it looks very thorough!
I will join this Fitness Club in Delhi. Thanks for sharing with us great blog.
