Today my blog post isn’t about clean eating or exercise it’s about having faith in your dreams. If you know me at all you know that I am the BIGGEST DREAMER in the world. I have a great imagination and I am always dreaming up some great stories in my head. I love to think that the sky is the limit and that I can do anything that I put my mind to.
I am also married to the man who I like to say bursts my bubble on a daily basis and brings me back to reality. While it’s good that I have him to keep me grounded, I am also good for him because I make him think of the possibilities and let go and enjoy life a little.
When I started as a Beachbody Coach Matt totally thought I had lost a few marbles. He just didn’t see this as an opportunity to grow our family bottom line. Although, me being the dreamer that I am saw a much bigger picture of what I could achieve. I created a Dream Board because I always like to write it down and have a plan in place. I actually hid my dream board from others because I was kind of afraid of what others would say about it. I felt kind of foolish for having these big dreams. Also, I didn’t want anyone to know if I didn’t make those dreams come true. So I really kept it hidden from others.
As the year went on, I achieved some and missed a lot of them. I had momentary break downs because I wanted to be successful on so many levels. I constantly evaluated my strategy and thought of ways that I could grow. Just as I did with my weight loss journey. I would be going along doing my workouts and eating healthy and then I would stop losing weight. Instead of throwing up my hands and quitting I always re evaluated my strategy, and tried something new. That ability to be flexible and open to trying new things led me to reaching my weight loss goals. I didn’t give up, I just stayed focus. I told myself that this is not a sprint, this is a marathon to reaching my final fitness goals.
It’s the same with your career and following your life’s work. Somedays things are not going to go in your favor. Others will advance quicker than you, but remember in the end it’s up to you how you finish the race. Do you bow out or do you do whatever it takes to be successful.
