Here at the Mitro house we were craving something sweet!  The boys wanted to eat ice cream and chips and I wanted chocolate. So I distracted them from the pantry with my bright idea to let them help me cook.

Much to my surprise they were awesome little assistants and we whipped up these tasty little morsels that are killing the sweet craving, are keeping us full, giving us nutrition and keeping us all on track.  So if you find yourself needing something sweet, give this a go!  Just another reason why Shakeology ROCKS.

Ingredients:

8 tablespoons PB2, (low fat, high protein powdered peanut butter)  You can get PB2 on Amazon, at Walmart or even GNC.

3 tablespoons Natural Peanut Butter (I use the Kirkland brand PB)

½ cup Shakeology Chocolate

3 tablespoons raw honey

½ cup quick oats

Directions:

Mix PB2 with water until it is a paste like consistency. Mix all ingredients, including PB2 mixture together in a mixing bowl. It may take some time to blend all of the ingredients together. If it’s to sticky, sprinkle in additional protein powder so that it’s a pretty dry/crumbly texture.

Next, roll mixture into small individual balls and place on a wax sheet. Makes about 12 balls, 1 oz each. Put them in the freezer until firm.

These taste even better when made with 6 tbsp of PB2 and ½ cup of natural peanut butter, but the calories and fat are higher. If you find the recipe above is too chalky tasting, add the extra peanut butter and do a few more jumping jacks.  You can see we even tweaked the recipe as we were making it also!

The boys were awesome little helpers!  We had a blast, you have to give this a try with your kids too!
