Reality is starting to set in that we are almost through the first quarter of 2024!!!! Time flies. You will achieve success this 2024.
I am sure you are feeling a number of emotions right now. I don’t want you to fret though. This is your chance to take out the goals that you set in January and see how you are doing. Maybe to stop circling the mountain of your success? Maybe to put more action into place?
How do you feel? Are you staying true and honest to you?
Do you still feel called to go towards to the goals you set in the beginning of the year?
Take time to journal these thoughts out.
When I first started my business, it was a lot of chasing carrots. I wanted to earn the rewards trips, because taking a family vacation prior to starting with BODi was something we weren’t doing. Therefore, the trips were an incentive I was willing to work for.
When you first start out in the business, it is easy to chase carrots. It always feels good to be rewarded, those carrots that I was chasing, they were teaching me how to build a business, how to stay motivated, push towards a goal or deadline, and most certainly required me to learn how to be a leader.
As we go through business and achieve success, sometimes things stop having the same affect.
For example, there came a point in my business that, I always knew I loved traveling with the company, but I wanted to do more with my family and kids. At this point, we had the means to take our own family vacations to the places that brought us the most joy. That is what I worked hard for.
It is a true testament to stepping into the next phase of life and leadership. That is beautiful thing! Though as I look back, there are multiple seasons of my business that I was full head down, blinders on, which then in the long run lead to burn out. Now that I am in a completely different season of life and business, I can say that I didn’t have the awareness of what I was doing, when in my mind I was simply working hard.
There are ways to preserve your mental health while working hard.
As we step into quarter 2 of 2024, look at life and business through a lens of experience where you can pull from. Also, remember where you want to go, the current vision you have for your life.
Let me ask: What action have you taken the first 3 months of the year?
Phase 1 Activity: The Personal Business Building Time
What are your goals for the first quarter of the year? However you deem success for your personal business, ask yourself first, “what is the bare minimum vs. what should I be working towards?”
Reminder that you can’t build a full time business working off the minimums.
Now, second question, ask yourself “have I reached my quarterly goal in sales?”. If the answer is no, what do you need to do right now today that can help you get one step closer to your goal? It will be doing the work. Sending the invites, the follow ups, the emails, the social media posts.
Third question, what are your team building goals? Make sure you are on track with the type of team you are building. If you are looking for two active business builders, the people you bring onto your team can’t solely be on your team for the discount. Who is ready to run and build the business along side of you?
This is the opportunity to sit down with yourself and evaluate how you want the rest of the year to go.
🔑 Key: become aware of when you are going into maintenance mode or you are prioritizing other peoples demand on you not the demands you place on yourself to help you get closer to your goals.
Developing Your Leadership
As a leader, you might be like me an enneagram 3. Do you have a hard time delegating?
I know that feeling! That was me. I didn’t want to slow down to speed up.
The moment I decided to hire someone to help me run my business, I realized so much.
It didn’t take long for me to train them, we could have good communication, and I could trust them because I hired the right person.
In return, it allowed me to work more on my business in the areas that I thrive in. I achieve more success when I focus on the areas that I excel in rather than doing every task myself.
🔑 Key: sometimes slowing down to speed up is better than doing nothing.
Let me ask: are you circling the mountain?

At this point of the year, if you don’t have your systems set up, that is a must to do. Don’t do twice the work!
