I get asked this question all the time!  I like to make 1 dish with my protein and carb all in one for breakfast.  I found it hard to eat oatmeal and egg whites or hard boiled eggs every morning.  I found that I would typically skip the egg part, but then I wasn’t staying full very long because the protein is what sustains your fuel burning consistently.

In the Eat Clean Diet one of the principles is to pair a complex carb and lean protein at each meal.  So I found a way to include it all in one dish and taste yummy too!  Here is my step by step directions!!


1/2 cup rolled oats

Small amount of water

1/2 c almond milk (unsweetened)

3/4 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 tbsp ground flaxseed

1 tbsp wheat germ

1 cupped handful of fresh blueberries


Scoop 1/2 cup rolled oats into a microwave safe dish

Pour a small amount of water on top and microwave until soft (about 1 minute 18 sec in my microwave).

In the meantime mix 1/2 cup almond milk and protein powder in a small dish

Pour over cooked oatmeal, then add 1 tbsp flaxseed and wheat germ and berries.  Stir and enjoy!!!!
